Growing up around two generations of advisors, I watched how thoughtful guidance could genuinely reduce stress and help families reach their goals. Those early years shaped my understanding of what this work can mean in people's lives, and it's what drew me into the profession.
I studied accounting at UNC Charlotte for my undergraduate degree and continued at UNC Greensboro for my master's. That foundation in accounting naturally led me toward tax planning, which has become my primary focus. Our tax laws are complex and constantly changing, and I love helping clients navigate them in ways that open up real opportunities. When someone can see a clear analysis of their situation, highlighting both possibilities and potential consequences, they can make better decisions about their taxes and investments.
Working alongside clients through onboarding and ongoing maintenance gives me the chance to really understand their lives and what they're working toward. I hold my life insurance license and Series 65, but what matters most is being able to translate technical details into practical advice that helps families grow and enjoy things together.
My wife, Kaide, and I live just west of High Point, where we get the best of both worlds. Peaceful fields surround us, but we're still close enough to town for everything we need. Our son David keeps us busy, along with our dog Winnie. Having a young family of my own has only strengthened my commitment to helping other families build something lasting.
When I'm not working, you'll find me hunting, fishing, or working on woodworking projects. I played soccer growing up and still enjoy pickup games when time allows. Our family attends Rich Fork Baptist Church, where we volunteer with the youth programs. That sense of community and giving back is something I try to carry into every relationship.
